Things of interest to me and maybe to you, too...
Whole Wheat Radio
- Live Webcast featuring Independent Music - Discover folk, singer-songwriter,
bluegrass, acoustic, blues and jazz music you'd not find easily elsewhere.
Interactive wiki format, occasional live house concerts, live chat, and silly,
serious, or cantankerous commentaries right out of the log Wheat Palace on Birch
Creek Blvd in Talkeetna, Alaska.
Esther on Facebook
1 - My personal Facebook page - be my friend!
Esther
on Facebook 2 - My Music page - Be my fan!
Esther on MySpace - Okay. I know it's goofy, but it's also a fun way to hear new music easily. And yes, I'm now on Facebook, too.
1&1 Web Hosting - This is my web hosting company. I've had a good experience with these guys, and reasonable prices, too! Just $60 per year for a wholloping package. (And half that for the smallest package.) If you sign up after clicking here, I get a small commission! Thanks, by the way...
Arctic Brewing Supply - Not only the greatest store in Alaska for those who brew beer or wine, but also very nice folks who are selling my CD and giving 100% of the sales to me. Thanks Petr and Lisa!
Flying Squirrel Bakery
Cafe - My younger sister, Anita, is opening a super cool new restaurant,
complete with a wood-fired brick oven. It will come into existence in early
summer 2009. Anita's reputation precedes her. She is well-known around Talkeetna
for her amazing baked goods, wedding cakes, and savory dishes. She's been keeping a neato blog about
building in Alaska's winter,
and brick ovens, and food philosophies here.
Enjoy!
Talkeetna Lodging and
Activities - This link will take you to the site of my wonderful friend
Karey's small, local travel agency. As it happens, one of my side-jobs is
maintaining this website. :-) And it's full of great information on the
authentic, locally owned places stay in Talkeetna, stuff to do like Denali
flightseeing, and statewide lodging and transportation. We just added
a page where she's selling her nifty recycled-sweater hats and other fiber
crafts. I love seeing my friends succeed, so if you're coming to Alaska, I
recommend Talkeetna Travel as your main resource throughout the state!
Everything Dulcimer - A comprehensive and social website about both mountain and hammered dulcimers. Very active, wonderful place.
